For the Freshmen

IT5001 is meant to be taken as a first-semester module, leading to other modules requiring it as a pre-requisite like IT5003, IT5100A, and IT5100B, just to name a few. We know that this subject alone can be daunting, not to mention the program that you are currently pursuing. Hence, it is important to take measures to try and get yourselves acquainted with how things work in NUS, balance out your life while studying amidst other life things like work or recreation for instance.

One of our full-time TAs, a current PhD student in NUS has prepared some notes and helpful advice to help prepare for your study in NUS, inspired by a similar effort that helped her get through her undergraduate days here too. We encourage you to give this a read, and we hope that it helps you the same way it did for her!
